Resistance forces in the mountainous province of Panjshir, the last sliver of Afghan territory outside Taliban control, continue to hold out against the militants. On Friday, a Taliban spokesman and sources claimed that the province had fallen. Self-proclaimed acting president of Afghanistan Amrullah Saleh uploaded a video disputing these claims.
