On 2 September, the Mexican Navy announced the seizure of a go-Fast boat carrying 74 packages of cocaine, weighing approximately 3 tons, in the Caribbean Sea off the coast of Mexican state of Quintana Roo, headed to the US city of New York. Three suspects were arrested on board the vessel.
